California is a pretty friendly tenant’s rights state; this is one state that does have a good source of laws aimed at helping the tenants over the landlord or property managers. However because it is more tenant friendly there are almost no attorneys available to help tenants in California, 99% of all attorneys are landlord attorneys.

So with tenant rights in major favor of tenants, and laws in favor of tenants over landlords why on earth would you need S.A.F.E. Housing Union? The answer is simple and straight forward. Being a member of S.A.F.E. in the state of California will benefit you tremendously, with laws designed to protect tenants it gives S.A.F.E. much more room to stand tall with our members, and empower them to take charge and get the most out of their rights as a tenant. Just because the laws are in favor of tenants doesn’t mean that a landlord or property manager wouldn’t try to make your life a living hell, or harass you, or even do things that are illegal, there are plenty of those types of landlords or property managers in California. As a matter of fact there are so many people that jump into buying a home, apartments, or what have you to start renting them out to have residual income, that many have absolutely no clue as to how to be a landlord or property manager, they have no idea of the laws or the tenants’ rights, and often resort to illegal practices during their time as a landlord. So becoming a member of S.A.F.E. empowers you to flex your rights, and even take legal action if needed against your landlord or property manager.

California, the wait is almost over! S.A.F.E. Housing Union is excited to announce its arrival in California, where we aim to bring tenants together through our membership process. No matter where you live, what type of property you rent, single residence or apartment complex, our mission is to unite renters from all backgrounds to stand strong against the challenges that they face in their communities. Many tenants struggle with unfair laws and the actions of unscrupulous landlords and property managers who often prioritize profit over people's well-being. At S.A.F.E.
