S.A.F.E. offers several ways to provide transitional housing to our members and our community. Our main three options are:
Mobile Homes
Vacant Hotels and
Multi-family residential buildings/properties
Mobile homes are a great choice because they can be easily moved and set up, they are inexpensive, can be easily remodeled and placed into a Mobile Home Community or place multiple homes into an area to create a Mobile Home Community.
Hotels provide a great opportunity to create multiple apartments for people to stay temporarily while we work on getting them into permanent affordable homeownership.
Multi-family residential buildings allow us to help several families or individuals at once, giving them a sense of community as they transition and become permanent affordable homeowners.
These different housing options allow S.A.F.E. to support many individuals and families simultaneously, making it easier for S.A.F.E. to help them rebuild their lives in a more stable environment. By offering these choices, we aim to help people find safety and security as they move forward. Our goal is to create supportive spaces where everyone can feel at home during difficult times.
S.A.F.E. Housing purchases these homes, properties, and buildings at a discount because they are almost always, blighted, and are in need of a full remodel. After purchase S.A.F.E. will completely remodel them into brand new, beautiful homes. As a strict rule, at the time of purchase these homes are always vacant, as to NEVER displace an individual or family.
