Tennessee is a moderate tenant rights state, meaning the laws between tenants and landlords are supposed to be fair and balanced, however we can offer a word of advice, laws governing tenant and landlords are almost never balanced, and the majority of the time they lean towards the landlord over the tenant.

Tenants rarely have the upper hand against their landlords or property managers, no matter what the case might be especially because the landlords or property managers usually have access to attorneys that are very ruthless and very deceiving. Landlord or property manager attorneys are usually a dime a dozen because there are always so many of them available, most every landlord attorney is in it for the quick cash, whereas its usually very difficult for a tenant to find or retain an attorney.

For landlord attorneys the eviction process is just a fun, simple, money making game they like to play, it’s easy money in their pocket, but to S.A.F.E. it’s our members home, security, and safety, we don’t play “GAMES” with that.
